As an employer, you must keep track of how much employees are absent from work due to their own illness or because their children are ill. You do not need to submit this information, but it can be useful in efforts to prevent sickness absence.

How to keep sick leave statistics

When you're an employer, you need to count workdays and absences due to illness every quarter. Information on how to calculate sickness absence rates and how to record sickness absence can be found on NAV's website. You can use your own system or utilize NAV's template. The Labour Inspection Authority may request to see this overview.
