All approved enterprises that work with asbestos or asbestos-containing materials.

Notice must include:

  • location of the work site,
  • the types and quantities of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials that will be used or handled,
  • the activities and methods involved in the work,
  • the number of employees involved and the training they have received,
  • the start-up date and duration of the work,
  • measures that will be implemented to limit exposure.

You must submit a notification of work with asbestos because the Labour Inspection Authority must be able to assess whether the work is planned in compliance with the regulations before you start.

The employer may only assign work with asbestos and asbestos-containing materials to employees who have received special training.

Employees who work with asbestos must use protective clothing and approved respiratory protection equipment. A washbasin and shower with hot and cold water must be readily available at the work place.
