Licence for organisation and operation of a marketplace for electric energy trading
A concession is required in order to organise or run a marketplace for the sale of electrical energy. In Norway, Nord Pool Spot AS and EPEX SPOT SE are the holders of the marketplace concessions.

Pursuant to the Energy Act Section 4-5, a licence is required in order to organise and operate a marketplace for electric energy trading. The marketplace for trading in electric energy is part of the energy market infrastructure. The market place licence is currently held by Nord Pool Spot AS and EPEX SPOT SE.
