A collective mark and guarantee- or control mark is a name, logo or other characteristic that identifies your goods and services.
An association of businesses can give its members exclusive rights to use a collective mark.
A guarantee or control mark must show that goods or services have been checked with regard to, for example, materials, production method or quality.

About this form

Individuals can not be assigned exclusive rights to collective marks. The holder of a guarantee or control mark cannot carry out commercial activities with the goods or services to which the control applies.
To submit an application on behalf of a business, you need the role Patent, Trademark, and Design, or have individual access rights to the service.
Please go to Altinn's help pages for guidance on roles and rights.

Payment and receipt
If you pay now, you will find your receipt on the receipt page (which will appear as soon as you have paid), or in your Altinn message box. You may send a copy of the receipt by e-mail or save it to your device. NIPO will not send a receipt. You will receive a reference number in Altinn (ARxxxxx) which you can use for any enquiries.
Your application will become public
Your application and all the documents related to it will be published on our website. We generally shield sensitive and confidential information. You can ask us to exempt business secrets from public disclosure. It is therefore important that you clearly indicate what information in the application or attachments you wish us to exempt. We will then assess whether the information can be exempted from public disclosure.
