System access
A system access is a new type of impersonal user in Altinn that is created so that a specialized system (e.g. accounting system or payroll system) can be authorized to perform tasks on behalf of the business or for the business's customers.
With a regular system access, you act on your own behalf. For example, if you own a small business and keep your own accounts in Fiken, you can create system access as part of Fiken's flow, or you can go to altinn.no and create it yourself by clicking on “Create new system access”.
If you are an accountant or auditor, you can create system access that can be assigned authorizations for your customers. The system will then be able to submit and retrieve data on behalf of the customers. This system access can only be created via a flow in the professional system you want to use. Once you have created it, go to altinn.no to add the customers that are relevant to that system access.
