The Digital Estate service provides heirs with guidance and an overview of registered information about the deceased’s assets and debts. This information helps the heirs make an informed choice about form of probate.
At present, only selected District Courts create digital estates and grant heirs access. These heirs are notified by SMS and email and receive a link to the service in their Altinn inbox.
To use the Digital Estate service, you must have a power of attorney regarding the estate (formuesfullmakt) and/or a probate certificate (skifteattest), and the District Court must have granted you access.
Those who have been given access will find a message with a link to the Digital Estate service in their Altinn inbox.
Yes, all heirs who are granted access by the District Court can log in and view the same information.
