Railway undertakings with a licence from another EEA state or Switzerland that plan to operate on the national rail network.
The Railway Regulations Section 6-2 second and third paragraphs and Section 6-3 second paragraph state which documentation is required.

Railway undertakings with a licence and safety certificate from another EEA state or Switzerland or safety certificate in accordance with the Railway Regulations Section 6-2 a), must have a safety certificate in accordance with Section 6-2 b) and meet the insurance requirements set out in Section 6-3.
The safety certificate must state the type of transport it applies to and it may cover all or parts of the national rail network, and must contain confirmation that the railway undertaking's safety management system meets the requirements of the Safety Regulations. Furthermore, the safety certificate must contain confirmation of acceptance of the measures implemented by the railway undertaking with a view to meeting specific requirements for safe operation on the national rail network.
Requirements of the applicant:
The application must be written in Norwegian, cf. Section 6-4.
Railway undertakings with a licence and safety certificate from another EEA state or Switzerland and a safety certificate in accordance with Section 6-2 a), must have a safety certificate in accordance with Section 6-2 b).

Purpose
To clarify whether the railway undertaking meets the requirements that apply in order to operate on the national rail network.
