The application must be submitted by anyone who wishes to arrange courses concerning emergency vehicles. The applicant must be a public agency, private enterprise or organisation which provides emergency services.
The following documentation shall be enclosed with the application:
The application must include a course programme, documentation of approved instruction personnel (responsible instructor and instructors), and information about organisation number, office address, postal address, where the instruction will take place and the type of vehicles that will be used during the training.
Criteria/conditions:
The granting of a licence is conditional on prior registration in the Register of Business Enterprises.
The applicant must be a public agency, a private enterprise or an organisation in which emergency services are a natural part of the activities.
Remarks:
The approval is valid for five years, after which renewal must be applied for.
Fee:
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration requires a fee for processing the application for approval as an emergency driving course provider, cf. Regulations on fees for services performed by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration in the traffic and vehicle area § 10-1, and the Regulations on emergency vehicle driving § 9a. The fee must be paid even if your application is rejected.
Case processing deadlines:
The approval authority must acknowledge receipt of your application within one month after it has been received, and inform you of any missing documents or deficiencies in the application. The approval authority must have processed the application within one month after the application was complete.
Right of appeal:
Once the approval authority has made a decision, you have the right to appeal this decision according to the rules in Chapter VI of the Public Administration Act.
