Notification of occupational accidents involving fatal or serious injury
Employers must notify the Labour Inspection Authority (Arbeidstilsynet) of occupational accidents involving fatal or serious injury.

Employers are obliged to notify the police and the Labour Inspection Authority of accidents at work in which an employee is fataly or seriously injured. This form applies to the notification of such accidents at work to the Labour Inspection Authority.
This reporting obligation is stipulated in Section 5-2 of the Working Environment Act (arbeidsmiljøloven).

The obligation to report to the Labour Inspection Authority applies to the employer of the employee who has been fataly or seriously injured.
