Notice to Patentstyret/NIPO of change, ownership, lien, license or PPH
Use this form to notify the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO) of changes in name, address or representative in applications or rights related to existing trademark, design and patent cases. Also use the form for change in ownership, withdrawal, lien/pledges, licenses, changes in goods and services for registered trademarks and Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH).
Use the form as an individual or on behalf of an organisation. If you represent an organisation, you must have the Altinn role Patent, varemerke og design.

• Change in ownership/merger
• Change of representative
• Lien/pledge for patent and trademark
• Lisence for patent, design and trademark
• withdrawal
• limitation in goods or services in a registered trademark
• Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH)
Please note that in international trademark and design registrations, the only changes you are required to report to the NIPO are change of representative. Other changes should be reported directly to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
You will find your receipt on completion of the form, and in your Altinn archive.
Your notification will be published on our website. We generally shield sensitive and confidential information. You can ask us to exempt business secrets from public disclosure. It is therefore important that you clearly indicate what information in the notification or attachments you wish us to exempt. We will then assess whether the information can be exempted from public disclosure.
