Norwegian Regulations - relating to the payment of fees for specific services provided by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority

Criteria/conditions:
Approval is granted by Debio when the activities are in accordance with the rules for organic production.

Fee:

A fee is charged for processing the application, cf. Annex 1 to the Regulations relating to the payment of fees for specific services provided by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.

The fee for registering to the control scheme for businesses looking to market organic products is adjusted annually. Currently, the fee is kr 1 700,-.

In addition to the registration fee, businesses affiliated with Debio are subject to annual fees determined by the Organic Regulation §21-24. The size of these fees depends on the activities your business is engaged in

Case processing deadlines:

The procssing time may vary. You should therefore contact Debio directly in order to obtain the current processing time when submitting your application.

Right of appeal:

You have the right to appeal the decision you receive from Debio. Any complaints should be sent to Debio and will be processed by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority's Complaints Unit.
