The form must be sent electronically to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
All persons/enterprises that plan to engage in animal testing.
The purpose of the permit is to promote good animal welfare and respect for animals.
Norwegian Regulations No 761 of 18 June 2015 relating to Animal Testing
All kind of testing that includes animals must obtain a permit from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority before they can begin.
The Norwegian Food Safety Authority can stipulate general and/or specific conditions for the permit. Animal testing, with the exception of field experiments, may only be carried out in premises approved by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. Please contact the Norwegian Food Safety Authority to gain access to the supervision- and application system (FOTS).
